When speed is rewarded and caution is punished, recklessness becomes the rational choice. Not because the people inside these companies are reckless. Because the structure they operate in leaves them no strong reason to slow down.
The board wants returns. Investors want growth. Engineers want to crack the hardest problem in history. Competitors are six months behind and closing.
Every force points the same direction: FASTER.
Good people inside broken structures still produce bad outcomes.
Nobody designed this race. It emerged — the default result of competition.
Nobody voted for it. Nobody approved it. And yet here we are.

This Was Built With Our Data
Every AI model that exists today was trained on data we generated. Every text you wrote. Every photo you posted. Every search, every conversation. You and I and billions of other people — we produced the raw material.
We owe credit to the foundational companies: they organized the knowledge and constructed the infrastructure.
But the knowledge itself? That is ours.
And if the knowledge is ours, then the question of where this technology goes cannot sit with a handful of companies and their investors alone.
We need to be clear about where we are heading. Each of us needs to decide whether we agree to go there. That question belongs to every person whose data is already inside these systems.
While few tech giants built the foundation,
the right to build the future cannot belong to them alone.
